Free plans side by side

  • Kapwing Free: exports up to 4 minutes long at 720p with a watermark, and 10 minutes of auto-subtitling.
  • Cuecaps Free: unlimited 1080p MP4 exports with a small "Made with cuecaps.com" mark, unlimited on-device transcription, 10 cloud minutes a month, and SRT and VTT export.

Subtitles in an editor vs. a caption studio

Kapwing is a collaborative online editor with dubbing, voice clones and lip sync; subtitles are one tool in it, and your files upload to its workspace. Cuecaps is built for captions alone: every word on a waveform, ten animated presets, and exports rendered in your browser so the source file stays on your computer.

You can use both: edit in Kapwing, export the video, and caption it in Cuecaps.

Which one to choose

  • Choose Kapwing for a shared online workspace where a team edits, dubs and subtitles together.
  • Choose Cuecaps for animated word-by-word captions with frame-accurate timing, without uploading your footage.
  • Choose Cuecaps Free if you need 1080p exports without paying.
