What the free plan includes

Free without signing up

• On-device transcription with Whisper, as often as you like: it runs in your browser, so no minutes are counted and the video never leaves your computer or phone.
• All ten caption presets, from Bold and Karaoke to Typewriter and Glow, with every setting for font size, color, outline, highlight and animation.
• Caption breaks at natural phrase boundaries and missing punctuation filled in for English, by a model that also runs on your device.
• Word editing, emphasis, timing snapped to the audio and the waveform timeline.

In other words, you can finish the whole caption job and watch the result in the preview before deciding whether Cuecaps is worth an account.

What a free account adds

• MP4 export in 9:16, 16:9, 1:1 or 4:5, up to 1080p, for Shorts, TikTok, Reels or a regular YouTube video.
• SRT and VTT subtitle files. These are plain text, so they never carry a mark.
• 10 minutes of cloud transcription a month, in 90+ languages, for clips where you want a second opinion on the on-device result.

Where the free plan stops

Free MP4 exports include a small "Made with cuecaps.com" mark. The transparent overlay export (MOV and WebM with alpha, for Premiere, Resolve and CapCut), custom fonts and projects synced to your account are paid features, and exports top out at 1080p.

Creator costs €9 a month: it removes the mark and adds 300 cloud minutes, the overlay, custom fonts and sync. Pro, at €19 a month, raises cloud transcription to 1,200 minutes and exports up to 4K. Yearly billing costs less; the pricing page has the details.
