Rendering on a server vs. in your browser
With AnimateCaptions you upload an MP4 or MOV, it transcribes the audio with Deepgram and renders the captions into the video on its servers, and you download the MP4.
Cuecaps does all of that on your computer. It transcribes on-device for free, or in the cloud when you choose (only compressed audio goes out), and renders the final video in your browser. Large 4K files and confidential footage stay with you.
What each one exports

- Cuecaps: a burned-in MP4 up to 4K at 60 fps, a transparent MOV or WebM overlay for Premiere, Resolve, Final Cut and CapCut, and SRT and VTT subtitles.
